During a tour of the company, the minister gained insight into the diverse technologies and innovations being developed at Demcon. The visit highlighted the role of technological innovation in creating solutions to societal challenges in areas such as healthcare, defense, sustainability, and industry.
In addition to presentations of various projects, there was an open discussion about Twente’s innovation ecosystem. Topics included talent development, collaboration between knowledge institutions and industry, the Netherlands’ international competitive position, and the importance of maintaining a strong climate for innovation.
For Demcon, the visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase how technological innovation from the Twente region contributes to impactful solutions with both national and international significance.
