Our CEO, Dennis Schipper, was recently interviewed for the latest edition of LINK Magazine. This edition focuses on diversification, a theme that Demcon has always actively worked on and that remains relevant today. In the interview, Dennis shares his perspective on the importance of diversification, both for Demcon and on a national and international level.

When Jasmijn first walked into Demcon, she didn’t yet know which direction she wanted to take. With a degree in Biomedical Engineering but few clearly defined biomedical engineering roles outside the academic world, the job search in the Twente region felt limited. Still, she found exactly what she needed at Demcon: space to explore, to grow, and to shape her own path.

What started as a simple internship ended up shaping the course of Daan’s education and career. During his secondary vocational education in mechatronics, Daan took an orientation internship at Demcon, working on prototyping. That experience became a turning point.

Every year, Technisch Weekblad (TW) publishes its R&D Top 50, highlighting the most innovative companies in the Netherlands. We’re proud to announce that Demcon has secured a 21st place this year!

Last summer, we were visited by Douwe de Vries, a reporter from Overijssel Onderweg. Throughout the season, he toured several companies in the province to learn about their sustainable mobility policies. True to the theme, he cycled all the way from the provincial government building in Zwolle to our headquarters in Enschede. During his visit, he interviewed Emma van Geel (Manager Corporate Sustainability) and Mika Bakker (Communications Specialist). You can read the result below.

After more than a decade at Radboud University, completing her bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD in physics, Elze felt it was time for a change. “I wanted to experience the working world outside of academia,” she says. “Preferably at a larger company, where I could explore different roles and really find out what suits me.”
